Garland celebrates team debut with 3 wins!

On his first outing for the Proppa.com Honda team, Liam Garland stormed to a maximum 3 wins from 3 starts at the BSMA semi finals, held at the Foxholes track near Salisbury in the south of England.

On a track baked hard by the weekend sun, the start was always going to be important and with the racing line being very narrow, due to a marble like surface, the first race set the tone for the day. Despite gating around 15th place Liam soon made his way onto the tail of the leaders and by the end of lap 1 was up to 3rd. Within 2 corners he had moved into the lead and stayed there until the flag, stretching out to a winning margin of some 15 seconds. Races 2 & 3 followed a similar pattern although made slightly easier with better starts. The winning margin in race 2 being similar to race 1, however in race 3 the margin was much smaller as he was chased all the way to the flag by fellow Elite Youth Cup rider Frazer Viner who ended the day with 3 second place finishes.

Liam is now preparing for this weekend’s BYMX round at Dean Moor where he is looking to continue his recent run of form and close the gap on the current championship leaders.
